Our Online Training and Competency Management System
Progress: Our online training and competency management system has arrived and is live! A great milestone achieved from concept to going live.
Back in 2016, we started to design and build our own online training and competency management system. We have helped numerous companies over the years take their own competency management system online, perhaps building an IT system in-house or often buying one from an external supplier. What we kept realising is that these companies were spending a lot of money getting the right solution.
We decided to build on our knowledge of designing and implementing paper-based competency systems, as well as this experience of helping clients go online, and create our own solution. It has been a lot of work to get exactly what we think our clients will need, making sure that it is a flexible solution that does not cost a fortune to tailor.
A few months ago, we reached a great milestone when we went live with our first client, a global drilling company. The feedback has been great and reflects the feedback that we have received during earlier phases:
- It is easy to use and navigate
- It is so much better than having to print out evidence or send e-mails back and forth
- It is a painless experience that it is easy to get the hang of
- Job holders, assessors and verifiers can easily find the information they need, and communication between them is simple
- It is cost effective
We are about to go live with our next couple of clients and we are all looking forward to getting them started.
